Vivian Maier produced these self-portraits with a film camera in the 50s. She represents herself

creatively using her environment to portray another version and form of herself.

 In this self-portrait she is capturing her reflection in a a spacious environment. 

She uses a single shutter and natural lighting.

In this self-portrait Maier uses a mirror she finds outdoors to

capture her reflection. Similar to the first photograph, she presents herself outdoors and uses another version of herself to be presented.
